Thanksgiving! Yummy!

Thanksgiving was here.

I had to work just from 12-3 though.

Not too bad.

My grandparents were here and staying till the wedding..

So that means I had stayed in my own room for the last time 2 weeks before I was gunna be moved out.

..ha that's okay though I loved having them here.

And Don't forget Darren also flew in from Mexico to be here and then was flying back and then back to here for the wedding. Lot's of travel for him!

We shots baskets that morning and I went to work and came back and had our traditional thanksgiving..orange rolls (my fav), creme corn, turkey, cranberry sauce, yams (although I am not sure many people eat this one ha). Anyways it's amazing!

Oh my babe always on the computer. This is our first Thanksgiving together!

Kortnee had a tournament.

She has a freshmen has been brought up to Varsity.

She's worked hard for it!

 She plays both the Varsity and JV!

Her first Varsity game she played against her good friend Brooke from Salpoint.

On Black Friday we got Rusty's suit for the wedding! He knew he looked good ha!

We also got a killer deal on an Xbox 360. We found one from the only twelve that were in the store for Black Friday and all those that stayed outside in the rain for hours and we got it at 4 o'clock in the afternoon.  It was hidden by the TV's ha.

We also did the center pieces for the wedding.

 My grandma cut the ribbon, my mom glued, and I glittered the e's.

Rusty's brothers Ethan and Eli came down for the night!

They are too funny!

Guess what ?!

 one more week!

We got our marriage license! :)

It's coming...The Big Day!

Rusty the other night, I got home from work and went into my room to change. We had just had our carpets cleaned and there were footprints in my room already. I thought that was really weird. I looked up and there was a card that Rusty gave me. Then I looked again and there was a SLR Nikon D3100 camera sitting there with a note that said early Christmas present. I couldn't stop smiling! It's red and is soo light! 

He is the best! can't wait it's coming up! 

So for the Bridal shower that was held at the Crotts house I had a sweet camera to use! :)

The shower was soo cute! It was an open house from 3-5 oSaturday November 19th 2011.
At their front door was a cute sign.

sooo the big day was gunna be here. I was actually pretty excited! Nervous..not really! Just that kinda girl I guess. ha

Yummy Cookies!/Jessica Russell/ Veronica/ Cindy

Rusty and I decided to make cookies..

Little did we know we'd have trouble doing it.

1st-couldn't find the baking soda

2nd- no brown sugar

3rd- NO CHOCOLATE CHIPS!

So my dad was nice enough to get those things for us on his way home from Kortnee's volleyball game.

My dad told us to double the batch.

4th- we didn't have enough butter

 so we used the spreadable butter

Now..

 we were one egg short!

So Rusty and I went to our neighbors to ask for 1 egg.

Next door..didn't have one.

Vern was walking out to his garbage and he gave us an egg!

Finally we could  make our delicious cookies!

My told me I was the new cookie maker since she absolutely loved them!

and of course Rusty wanted his giant cookie! 

Now Rusty can't say he's never seen me cook!

P.S.

I forgot to blog this but Jessica Russell Josh's first real girlfriend died on September 5th. She had been drinking that Sunday and when she got home she had a really bad migraine so she took medicine called soma i think and those don't mix at all. It was an accidental OD. Her roommate thought she was sleeping off a hangover but finally went in there to wake her up at 6 and she was dead. So sad to be so young with a whole life ahead of you! And it could've been prevented. We went to the viewing. So sad to see her. I hadn't seen her in years since really my freshman year and she was a senior and Josh was dating her and she was in my PE class.. But her body didn't look like her at all to me. Her face was blooded. It made it hard to believe it was really her. But then I  saw her hands. Her fingernail polish was still on and I knew it was her. Her mom seemed to be doing pretty well considering everything.  But she had a lot of support there. Her dad's letter he wrote to her but had her uncle read it was what really made me cry. That he will never be able to dance with her at her wedding to Beauty and the Beast but he will dance with her when he gets to Heaven. It was a catholic service which I have never been to. I pray for her family to be comforted. 

Really so sad to hear and to see.

A day later after we found out about Jessica..a girl named Veronica Meade hung herself. Kelsi Crotts took her to seminary almost every day last year and she played on the Varsity team in Basketball. I called Kels to see how she was and that was the first time I'd ever seen/heard Kels cry. Kelsi doesn't cry and I've been friends with her for like 5 years now and never even heard her cry till now. It made me cry! So sad...even though I didn't know her so many people did. even Kortnee.

And this week Cindy Ricks passed away..She was the relief society president before me mom. Been in  the Continental Ranch Ward for 13 years. Last year she was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer stage four. She had decided to not do chemo. We are going to miss her. She was so loving and so strong in her testimony and very service oriented. She always thought of others first. I pray that her family (Brent Shayla and Josh) will be comforted. I can't imagine losing my mom and I am sure that this won't be an easy road... But her funeral is this saturday

It's been one heck of the last couple weeks..

Also Saturday on a happy note I get to go to my final wedding dress fitting!! :)

The bird flew into our house!

Last night...Kortnee called Rusty and told him to come outside. He was like ahh okay..? and he opened the door and this bird flew right into the house and into Kortnee's room. (ironacally) She couldn't get it off the door so she had Rusty open it. Good job Korntee..

It tool us a half an hour to get the bird out of Kortnee's room and outside.

We had to ware the bird down and them put him into a blanket. The second we got him out he flew right back towards Kortnee's room at the window. Good thing we shut the window before Rusty let the bird out of the blanket.

Ridiculous! But we got it out without killing it.

Kortnee next time tell us there is a bird on the door before you tell us to open the door and let it in!

The sweet shoes/ wedding

Been trying to get a hair cutting job and to not be scared and be brave. Rusty got me some shoes! They are freakin sweet! I think I can pull them off ha! :)

Rusty has moved here and got an apartment and slowly putting together what will be our apartment! It's been so much better having him here. Everyday having him here! Love it!

The wedding has been postponed put of for a little bit till we figure out somethings.

But I do have my dress but he can't see it yet!

It was the first dress I tried on and it fit perfectly. Everyone in the room that was there for another girl were all speechless and wanted the same dress for the other girl! ha i tried on a few more but nothing compared to the first dress. I said "yes to the dress" and it's being hemmed. :)

We have been garage selling and ebaying and going on dates :)
