But Thanksgiving this year was with the in-laws.
Everyone but Serene, Josh, and Baylee were able to make it.
Debbie and Ron-Moriah and Brad rented a house so we spent the weekend over there.
It was really nice and the perfect idea!
Here's a few pics -
We played minute to win it games!
That Sunday Dec 1st we had decided to have Leah and Rylee blessed together.
(Cousin's that were a month apart and blessed together like Kylie and I)
Rusty was so nervous. This was a huge accomplishment for him.
Rusty had not been up in front of the church ever and he was so nervous that no one was gunna be able to understand him that he would mumble through the whole thing. I heard him go over the being of the blessing in the shower and pasing back and forth the night before and all morning. To me I just smiled and was so proud he was going to do it even though he was so nervous. I saw him get down on his knees before leaving for church to ask to calm him and that you'd be able to understand him.
So sweet to see this.
She is wearing my blessing dress.
Leah and Rylee...guess my little one likes to throw up signs!
I had to tell Great now Great Great Grandma that Rylee was hers.
5 generation right here!
Rachel came!
He did it.
He gave a beautiful blessing.
It consisted of being healthy, choosing good friends, to have the desire to choose what is right, having a testimony, and getting an education.
He got off the stage and I kissed his for head and man it was sweaty but I was so proud he did and faced his fear for his daughter.
(You guys have no idea how hard this was for him. He can talk to anyone but to get in front of people like that..oh no..)
It was nice to see everyone and have to share it like Kylie and I did when we were little.
I also would like to mention we got rid of Chomper..I couldn't handle it. The whole time being pregnant i complained about him and how I would handle him and a newborn and it came down to I just couldn't. Chomper had a personality that no one had ever seen in a dog before. He was aggressive and stubborn as all get out. He was perfect till you told him what to do or no. He was perfect around Rusty. The best dog. I'd call him and he almost wouldn't believe the things i would say that he did because Chomper wasn't that way with him. The second that door shut Chomper would get into the most random things and he'd keep me up chasing him around the apartment and running under the table or behind the couch and this was really hard on a 9 month pregnant lady! I didn't know how I was supposed to take Chomper out to go the bathroom and have Rylee. I couldn't hold her cuz Chomper is nuts and pulls way too much on a leash, and I couldn't leave her in the house by herself. And i didn't trust him at all around her. If i would tell him no he'd try to attack me and I was not going to have that and be holding Rylee. I didn't want to see if he's hurt her and take that risk. If something had happened i'd probably be so upset at Rusty that I'm not sure I could forgive him when i cried for months to get rid of him. (sounds horrible i know but i wasn't willing to risk it and it seemed like I wasn't getting through to Rusty so i would have taken it out on Rusty) Anyways once Rylee was born Rusty finally agreed to get rid of him. (He thought I was just being crazy before because i was prego..think again..i had real concerns) We tried to give him to two other people but he got too aggressive and they all realized what I was going through. So he ended up at shepherd rescue. Let me tell you I do miss the security of him but my life is so much easier not having him. I can lay Rylee where ever. I can have things wherever in the house and know that he's not going ruin it and his hair oh my is hair is gone! We can have blankets that we can use now without his hair covering them! But Rusty thinks about him and misses him each day but he's realized its a lot easier and we can come and go without having to worry to come home and take him out and that he's too big of a dog to be in an apartment.
Here's a few pics -
