The I do's

December 3rd..
Our lives would forever change
New family
New "home"
New way of thinking.. it's no longer "I" it's "we" or in other words selflessness
No longer just you in your bed
No more coming home having your dinner ready for you from your mom it's now I have to decide and make it
No more being free and being a kid.
We are now a FaMiLy.
Husband and Wife.

My dear Lexi from College took our pictures! She drove down with Andrew and Dathan.
I was so excited to see them!
Daniella and Caitlin my besties from Beauty School (wished Andrea could've been there too) did my hair and make up.

I looked like a "Bride" :)

We got to the house and Rusty was already there..
i know he wasn't supposed to see me..
but he hadn't seen my dress yet so we were good!

My mom and Kortnee helped lace me up..in curlers and all..

Rusty hadn't seen me yet..he was patiently waiting

Just the face you wanna see the groom have when he sees his bride for the first time :)

Had to throw in the "sass" face

I was screaming put "me down I think my dress is ripping" but laughing too

My girls had Zebra print shoes on..heck yes!!

It was time..
The music started and I was trying not to cry..
It sorta  hit me..
I didn't think it would be emotional
but it was and you can see it on every one's faces it was for them too.

Bishop Gardner did a fabulous job! He was shaking so bad. It was his second wedding! The funny moment was that Bishop asked for him to grab my right hand and I had my bouquet in my left. When he told Rusty to put the ring on my finger he started to put it on my right hand and I looked down and I said "umm aren't you supposed to put it on my left," and everyone kinda giggled and then he put it on the left hand.

Rusty tried the whole time to hold in his tears.
My babe is not a cryer at least in front of people ;)
But when he hugged his brothers he lost it big time..

My beautiful niece
(we are convinced she looks just like me when i was little)
loved and I mean loved my flowers.
She wanted to hold them all night.
So my husband Rusty took my throwing bouquet and gave it to her.
The next couple days she carried it around with her.
(Those flowers meant more to that little girl then it would've to anyone other girl I would've thrown it to)
So needless to say i didn't throw any bouquet!

And my adorable nephew Caden came up and asked "Jamee are you taken?" hehe
Aww this kid and Rusty has always fought over me. Caden always told Rusty "Nooo that's my girl" :)

All my new sisters :) We are pretty good lookin bunch!

Kylie oh Kylie thought she could come surprise me..not..:) I knew she'd be here but she tried surprising me ha

The center pieces looked awesome!

I love these two! I hope my kids are just as cute!

I am so glad my great grandparents got to be here!

Four Generations right here! That's pretty impressive!

The whole bunch that got to make it down! We were missing a few but I am grateful to those who could make it! Ment a lot!

Rusty's best friend drove down here for it to! love ya Carson!

I grew up with these three! Lindsay, Elissa, and Taryn! It was so good to see them! They used to all live down the street! Many sleepovers and "play dates"

Our cake! Kendra did awesome! It was soo good and looked amazing!

We had Cinnamon rolls and every topping you could think of or any candies you could think of to put in your ho chocolate!

We cut the cake!
Yes..we did not shove it in each others faces..
Rusty didn't want to do it to me and I didn't either!
The crowd was a bit disappointed but my grandpa yelled out smart man!

Dathan came down! He was my best friend in high school! I was so glad he came too!

My great Aunt is Awesome! I love her!

This is Aunt Amy and her husband who let us use their beautiful house!

I will always be their little girl!

And Lexi!! She is awesome and it was so good to see her and our pictures turned out great!

At the end of the night!
Aunt Phillis and Uncle Don and Cousin Becky came! These people are on of my favorite! I was so glad they got to come down and see the family!

Thank you to everyone and all the gifts and for coming and making it happen!

We were off!

These were our vows and what the Bishop told us:

Rusty Dean Edwards and Jamee Marie Day
Dec 3, 2011

What an honor and a privilege to be a part of this day for Rusty and Jamee.  I want you to know that we all support and love you both and want nothing but the best for both of you.

We know that marriage is ordained of God. It is part of his plan for his children to marry and start a family, to raise up a family to the Lord.
I want to take just a few minutes and talk to you about this sacred covenant and commitment that you make with each other this day.

In the scriptures the Lord tells us “Thou shalt love thy wife with all thy heart, and shalt cleave unto her and none else.”  I think that also pertains to wives loving your husbands as well.  Cleaving to none else seems to say “don’t let anything else remove your spouse from that place in your heart.”

There are some things that make it easier to love our spouses with all our hearts.

I think many of us as young single adult tend to think, “What is best for me. How can I best take care of myself.” It becomes a thought process of doing everything that you can to watch out for yourself. When you marry someone that thought process needs to change to what can I do for my spouse and our marriage.  Selflessness becomes the key.

Good communication is important to a marriage.  Make sure you take the time to tell each other “I love you”, or to hold hands and appreciate each other. Many of the little things that you’ve done while you were courting don’t have to stop after you are married.  Make sure that you pray together daily and ask for help from our Father in Heaven.  I can’t overemphasize the importance of prayer in your marriage.

Be each others biggest fan. Support each other in reaching goals and encouraging each other when things aren’t going the way we thought they would.  Share your successes and your disappointments with each other.  By doing this you will develop a great trust in each other. Marriage allows us to be better together than we are by ourselves. We are able to strengthen each other.

Be faithful in keeping the commandments. Nothing brings greater joy than to have a spouse willing to follow the Savior and know that they are doing all they can to be worthy of great blessing to you and your family.

Finally, what we are doing here today is only of a temporary nature. I counsel you both to continue to do all things necessary to go to the temple and make this for time and all eternity.

Rusty and Jamee, Please take each other by the right hand.
Rusty Dean Edwards and Jamee Marie Day, you have taken one another by the right hand in token of the covenants you will now enter into in the presence of God and these witnesses.” Rusty Dean Edwards, do you take Jamee Marie Day as your lawfully wedded wife, and do you of your own free will and choice covenant as her companion and lawfully wedded husband that you will cleave unto her and none else; that you will observe all the laws, covenants, and obligations pertaining to the holy state of matrimony; and that you will love, honor, and cherish her as long as you both shall live?”
Jamee Marie Day, do you take Rusty Dean Edwards as your lawfully wedded husband, and do you of your own free will and choice covenant as his companion and lawfully wedded wife that you will cleave unto him and none else; that you will observe all the laws, covenants, and obligations pertaining to the holy state of matrimony; and that you will love, honor, and cherish him as long as you both shall live?”
You may exchange rings
“By virtue of the legal authority vested in me as an elder of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I pronounce you, Rusty and Jamee, husband and wife, legally and lawfully wedded for the period of your mortal lives.
“May God bless your union with joy in your posterity and a long life of happiness together, and may He enable you to keep sacred the covenants you have made. These blessings I invoke upon you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, amen.
“You may kiss each other as husband and wife.”

The End..just kidding

I feel like it's going to hit me..Being married and all.
Maybe it won't..
or maybe it already has and it's all the small things like..
My last name?
I am a bit confused how to introduced myself.
legally it's still Day but in the Church it's Edwards.
So at work I am still Jamee Day..one time I introduced myself as Jamee Edwards and the man looked at my name tag and was like "so the D. is supposed to throw people off" And i looked down and said " oh no I just got married.." Weird..And now there is a couple who just got married in our ward that has the last name Day..it's going to be really confusing for awhile. ha
Next,
we can now stay in the same room when we visit family..
Or leave with each other and not have to say bye
Maybe all those things slowly hit you and that's it. That's the whole "Oh my gosh I am married" or it's still coming..
